WORLD CHAMPION BINGHAM HONOURED AT SNOOKER AWARDS

SightRight’s first World Snooker Champion was further rewarded for his success by scooping two gongs at the sports’ annual awards night.

Bingham, whose career has been transformed in the last five years working with specialist cue sports coach and SightRight supremo Stephen Feeney, was named as Player of the Year and Snooker Journalists Player of the Year.

The 38-year-old enjoyed the best season of his twenty-year long career by winning the Shanghai Masters, Haining Open and Championship League before his amazing World Championship Glory.

Bingham had self-admittedly been something of a journeyman for the first fifteen years of his career before starting to work with Feeney and his innovative and effective techniques.

Feeney, who recently teamed up with Riley to launch a range of Riley SightRight cues with an integrated patented sighting and alignment aid, believes that Bingham is getting the recognition for not just his recent success but for five years of hard work. “It’s great to see Stuart being recognised with such awards,” said Feeney, now one of the world’s top cue sports coaches.

“The awards may say ‘Player of the Year’ but it’s five years of hard work, dedication and his embracement of my SightRight methods that have gone into him achieving what he has.

“He is now world class, world champion, world number two and provisionally world number one for the next season. But he’s also given hope to other Snooker players who maybe aren’t having the best of times that it is possible to change the path of your career if you are brave enough to embrace new approaches and willing to dedicate yourself and put in the hard yards.

“All the accolades Stuart is getting are no more than he deserves but this is not the end of our journey and we are already working towards the next title.”
