Snooker Profile
SightRight Snooker

In 1997, Stephen approached former world champion and snooker legend Terry Griffiths, who at the time struggling with his game, wanted to end his career on a high by qualifying for the final stages of the World Championship at the Crucible Theatre. Using Stephen’s SightRight® methods, Terry was able to achieve this goal, before losing narrowly to future world champion, and world no.16 at the time, Mark Williams at the venue.

Since then, Stephen has helped to correct sighting and alignment issues and increase the accuracy of a number of other professionals, who achieved the following under his guidance:

Stephen Hendry – Remained ranked inside the world’s top 16 during the 2011/12 season
Steve Davis – 2004 UK Championship finalist at the age of 46 keeping him on the Top 16 for a further four years
Barry Pinches – Career-high ranking of 18 in 2005/6, 2003 World Championship last 16, 2003 UK Championship quarter-finalist
Mark Davis – Climbed over 40 places in the professional snooker rankings to No. 17 over a 5 year period to the end of July 2012, winning 2009 & 2012 Six Red World Champion and quarter finalist in both the 2012 Australian Open and Wuxi Classic
Tom Ford – Climbed to a career-high ranking of 22, two-time PTC event winner
Stuart Bingham – Career-high ranking of 6, winner of four professional tournaments including the 2011 Australian Goldfields Open and 2012 Premier League.
Ricky Walden – Climbed to a career-high ranking of 10, reaching the semi final of the 2012 UK Championship, then moving on to win the 2012 Wuxi Classic
Martin Gould – Won three professional snooker events during the 2012/13 season

WBPSA sanction Stephen’s SightRight Cue with patented sighting aid technology

In July 2013, Stephen launched the SightRight® Cue, fitted with a patented sighting aid to help players to become more accurate. The cue has been officially sanctioned by the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association (WPBSA) and you can discover more by clicking here.

Golf Profile

Stephen’s patented SightRight® Golf & Putting coaching methods have helped Ryder Cup heroes and leading European Tour golf professionals to improve their sighting and alignment, both in their putting and all-round game.

Stephen’s involvement in golf began following a recommendation by six-time world snooker champion Steve Davis, to PGA Tour golfer Greg Owen to help improve his putting.

Just weeks after beginning work with Stephen, Owen was to finish as runner-up at the Bayhill Invitational tournament and since then, Stephen has gone on to help the following players:

  • Darren Clarke – 2008 Asian Open champion, KLM Open winner, 2011 Open
  • Colin Montgomerie – 2008 French Open runner-up
  • Stephen Gallacher – 2013 Dubai Desert Classic champion

Stephen has also worked with Paul McGinley, Charl Schwartzel, Louis Oosthuizen, Anthony Wall, Richard Finch, Mardan Mamat and Faldo’s u15 World Series Winner in Brazil Tom Clements in recent years, to help improve their sighting and putting accuracy. In 2011 Stephen launched the SightRight® Putting Aid, endorsed by Darren Clarke which enables golfers to identify and correct any sighting error of a straight line of aim in relation to eye dominance and to improve putting accuracy over all distances.

Darts Profile

Stephen’s involvement in darts began following a chance meeting with 15-time world darts champion Phil Taylor at the 2010 World Snooker Championship. As Stephen tested and took Taylor through a coaching session, Phil was so impressed as to comment that SightRight® ‘gives a player an unfair advantage.’ Leaving Taylor with a SightRight Dart Aid they met again very soon after when as The Power’s VIP guest Stephen witnessed one of the most memorable evenings in sport – 2 nine dart finishes.

The news of Stephen’s work with Taylor spread quickly and very shortly after Winmau Darts connected with Stephen to launch his patented SightRight® Dart Aid, endorsed by Mervyn King. The Dart Aid helps players improve their accuracy and add crucial points to their average. For more information, please click here Through his Winmau connections, Stephen’s SightRight® methods in Darts are growing rapidly with Dean Winstanley recently being selected as the 2012/13 PDC Newcomer of the Year, hitting a perfect 9-dart finish at the 2012 World Championship
